The
liquid crystal theme was inspired by my scientific
work with liquid crystalline
substances
which are also known as LC crystals.
One of the applications of LC
crystals
can be found in liquid crystal displays.
There
is, however, a much more artistically fascinating
aspect of liquid crystals, which
can
be viewed through a polarized microscope. Liquid
crystals develop an absolutely
stunning
dynamic color display when subjected to
external stress.
